Formoline L112 Weight Management Tablets - 64 Tablets

Formoline L112 is a fibre-based lipid-binding medical device for adults with a BMI above 25, used alongside a reduced-calorie diet. The fibre binds some dietary fat in the digestive tract. It does not remove the calories in sugar or alcohol. Pack: 64 tablets.

How to use

• For weight reduction, take two tablets twice daily with your two highest-fat main meals. Swallow whole with at least 250ml of low-calorie liquid each time. Do not exceed four tablets daily. The instructions recommend at least two litres of fluid daily; ask your clinician first if you have a fluid restriction.
• For weight maintenance, the manufacturer states the dose can be reduced to two tablets daily. Leave one main meal without Formoline and include good-quality oils to provide essential fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins.
• Read the complete supplied instructions. Ask your pharmacist if unsure. Seek advice if there is no weight reduction after 12 weeks.

Ingredients

Polyglucosamine L112 fibre (73%), derived from crustacean shells; ascorbic acid; tartaric acid; plant-based magnesium stearate and cellulose; sodium sulphate; silicon dioxide.

Do not use and precautions

• Do not use if allergic to crustaceans or any ingredient, pregnant or breastfeeding, underweight (BMI below 18.5), or if you have chronic constipation or bowel obstruction. It is not intended for children.
• Do not use with long-term medicines that slow bowel activity. Consult a doctor first for other long-term medicines, serious digestive disease, previous gastrointestinal surgery, or if over 80.
• Leave at least four hours between Formoline and fat-soluble medicines or vitamins A, D, E and K. These include some epilepsy medicines, anticoagulants, hormone preparations and contraceptives; confirm timing with your pharmacist.

Possible effects and storage

Stool changes, constipation, wind or bloating can occur, particularly with insufficient fluid. Rare allergic reactions are possible, including in people allergic to dust mites. Stop and seek professional advice for reactions or interactions; breathing difficulty or face/throat swelling needs urgent help. If too much is taken, stop, maintain appropriate fluid intake and seek advice. Store dry at 4–25°C, away from children. Observe expiry.
