Frequently asked questions
How many Strepsils Orange lozenges can I take a day?
For adults, the elderly and children aged 6 and over, dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2 to 3 hours, up to a maximum of 12 lozenges in 24 hours. Do not exceed the stated dose.
What does the vitamin C in these lozenges do?
The throat relief comes from the two antiseptics, not the vitamin C. Vitamin C is an added ingredient; it contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Each lozenge provides 100mg of vitamin C.
Are Strepsils safe in pregnancy?
If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, speak to your pharmacist or doctor before using these lozenges so they can advise whether they are suitable for you.
Can children use Strepsils Orange with Vitamin C?
These lozenges can be used by children aged 6 and over. They are not suitable for children under 6 because of the risk of choking. Ask your pharmacist about alternatives for younger children.
Are these lozenges sugar-free?
No. Strepsils Orange with Vitamin C lozenges contain sugars (sucrose and glucose). If you need to watch your sugar intake, ask your pharmacist about the sugar-free Strepsils options.
