Nurofen Express 200mg Liquid Capsules are liquid-filled soft capsules containing ibuprofen, for the symptomatic relief of rheumatic or muscular pain, backache, neuralgia, migraine, headache, dental pain, period pain, and feverishness and the symptoms of colds and influenza. Pack of 30, for adults and children aged 12 years and over, sold by Ways Pharmacy (UK).

Who it is for

• Adults and children aged 12 and over who need short-term relief from everyday pain or feverishness
• People who prefer a liquid capsule they swallow whole rather than a standard tablet

Not suitable for: Anyone allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients, or who has had asthma, wheezing, a runny nose, swelling or hives after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs; anyone with an active or recurrent stomach ulcer or bleeding, or who has had stomach bleeding or perforation after previous NSAID treatment; anyone with severe heart, kidney or liver failure; and women in the last three months of pregnancy. Do not give it to children under 12. Do not take it with other NSAID painkillers, or with aspirin at a daily dose above 75mg. Speak to a pharmacist or doctor before taking it if you have or have had asthma, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, a stroke, heart, liver, kidney or bowel problems, if you are dehydrated, if you smoke, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How to use

1. Read the label and Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) before use.
2. Adults, the elderly and children aged 12 to 18 years: swallow one or two capsules with water, up to three times a day as required.
3. Do not chew the capsules, and leave at least 4 hours between doses.
4. Do not take more than 6 capsules in any 24 hours.
5. Take the lowest dose for the shortest time needed to control your symptoms.
6. Ages 12 to 18: see a doctor if you need it for more than 3 days. Adults: see a doctor if you need it for more than 10 days, or if symptoms get worse.
