Johnson's Veterinary Ear Drops are a gentle solution for cats and dogs that softens wax, soothes irritation and assists healing, and contains natural pyrethrum to kill ear mites (Otodectes cynotis). Suitable for treating common mite infestations that cause mild scratching, head shaking, or dark, dry, waxy debris in one or both ears. Available from our GPhC-registered pharmacy in London.

How to Use

Warm the bottle to body temperature and shake well. Hold above the ear and squeeze gently:

• Cats & very small dogs: 3 drops per ear
• Small dogs: 4 drops per ear
• Medium dogs: 5 drops per ear
• Large dogs: 6 drops per ear

Hold the head to one side for 15–20 seconds, massage the base of the ear, then allow your pet to shake its head. Use daily for 7 days. Always treat both ears, whether infested or not. A second course may be given one week after the end of the first to ensure complete clearance. Always read the package leaflet before use.

Active Ingredients

Pyrethrum Pale Extract (25%) 0.40% w/v (equivalent to pyrethrins 0.10% w/v); piperonyl butoxide 1.00% w/v.

Warnings & Storage

• For animal treatment only — for external use
• Not suitable for treating severe ear infestations
• Consult a vet immediately if there is a heavy, strong-smelling discharge, or serious inflammation, swelling or pain with severe scratching, head shaking or tilting
• Never probe inside the ear — this can cause pain and injury
• Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse with clean fresh water and seek medical advice if irritation persists
• If signs persist or worsen, consult a vet
• Wash hands after use. Keep out of reach of children
• Do not store above 25°C. Protect from frost and direct sunlight. Keep the container in the outer carton
