Overview
Johnson's One Dose Wormer kills roundworms, tapeworms and hookworm in a single dose. The film-coated tablets contain nitroscanate, an authorised UK veterinary medicine. There are three sizes so you can match the pack to your dog's weight.
What It Treats
- Roundworms: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina
- Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum
- Tapeworms: Taenia spp., Dipylidium caninum
Choosing a Size
- Puppies & Small Dogs up to 8kg: 100mg tablets, 1 tablet per 2kg bodyweight.
- Medium Dogs 8–20kg: 500mg tablets.
- Size 3, Medium & Large Dogs up to 40kg: 4 × 500mg tablets, 1 tablet per 10kg bodyweight.
Always follow the dosing on the pack leaflet.
How to Give
- Fast your dog overnight, then give the tablets in the morning with about one-fifth of the daily food.
- Hold back the rest of the day's food for 8 hours.
- Don't break or crush the tablets.
- Worm adult dogs 2–4 times a year. Puppies can be wormed at 12, 16 and 24 weeks with the 100mg tablets.
- Use flea control as well, because fleas spread tapeworm.
Warnings
- Not for puppies under 12 weeks, dogs under 2kg, or dogs that are ill or recovering from illness.
- Don't repeat the dose if your dog is sick shortly after taking it.
- In very rare cases it can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy or unsteadiness.
- It can be used during pregnancy and while feeding puppies.
- It can irritate skin and eyes, so wash your hands after handling.
- For animal treatment only. Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
