- Adults aged 65 and over who choose the cell-based flu vaccine and are not eligible for the NHS programme
- People living with, or caring for, someone with a weakened immune system
Not suitable for: people who received a COVID-19 vaccine in the past 3 months; people with a confirmed severe allergic reaction to a previous flu or COVID-19 vaccine or any of their ingredients (including PEG); people unwell with a fever on the day. How the service works
- Choose your flu vaccine option and book online, or call Holborn on 020 8106 7084. Walk-ins are welcome Monday to Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, but booking online secures your slot.
- At your appointment the pharmacist reviews your medical history, previous vaccinations and any recent COVID-19 infection, and confirms both vaccines are suitable for you. Payment is taken at the pharmacy.
- You receive the flu jab in one arm and the COVID-19 vaccine in the other, then wait for the short observation period the pharmacist advises.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the flu and COVID combo?
£110 for both vaccines, whichever flu vaccine you choose. Booked separately, the cell-based flu jab and COVID vaccine cost £124.98, and Vaxigrip with the COVID vaccine costs £113.98.
Is it safe to have the flu and COVID jabs at the same time?
Yes. The flu vaccine and the COVID-19 vaccine can be given at the same appointment, one in each arm. The pharmacist confirms suitability for both before vaccinating.
Which flu vaccine should I choose?
Choose the cell-based, egg-free vaccine if you are 65 or over, have an egg allergy, or want an appointment now. Vaxigrip is for adults aged 18 to 64 and is available from the week of 6 November 2026. The combo price is £110 either way.
Can I get these vaccines free on the NHS?
Some people can. For 2026/27 the free NHS COVID-19 vaccine is for adults aged 75 and over, care home residents and people aged 6 months to 74 years with a weakened immune system, and the NHS also offers free flu jabs to groups such as people aged 65 and over and pregnant women. Ways Pharmacy Holborn is a private pharmacy and does not provide NHS vaccinations; if you are eligible, book through the NHS.
What if I only want one of the vaccines?
Book the private flu jab (from £18.99) or the private COVID vaccine (£94.99) on its own.
Safety
- Administered by a GPhC-registered pharmacist in a private consulting room
