Description

Bazuka Treatment Gel is a once-daily topical treatment for warts, verrucas, corns and calluses. It contains salicylic acid 12% and lactic acid 4%, dries to a protective film and comes with an emery board. For adults and children over 2 years, sold by Ways Pharmacy (UK).

Who it is for

Adults with a wart, verruca, corn or callus on the hands or feet.
Children over 2 years, applied by or under the supervision of an adult.

Not suitable for: Children under 2. People with diabetes or poor blood circulation to the hands or feet. Anyone allergic to salicylic acid, lactic acid or any other ingredient. Do not use on or near the face, neck, armpits, breasts, groin or genital area, on moles, birthmarks or warts with hairs growing from them, or on broken skin. Do not use in pregnancy except for short-term treatment of a small single lesion; ask a pharmacist first. If you are unsure what the lesion is, ask a pharmacist or doctor before treating it.

How to use

Read the label and Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) before use.
Every evening, soak the affected area in warm water for 2–3 minutes and dry thoroughly.
Squeeze the tube gently to apply a thin coating (1–2 drops) to the wart, verruca, corn or callus only. Let it dry to a white film. Avoid the surrounding skin.
The next evening, peel off the dried film before reapplying.
Once a week, gently rub the surface of the lesion with the emery board supplied.
Carry on until the lesion has gone. If it is worse, or has not gone after 12 weeks, ask a doctor. Stop if you get unacceptable discomfort or persistent irritation.

How long does Bazuka take to work?

It varies. Keep applying once daily; resistant warts and verrucas can take up to 12 weeks. See a doctor if there is no improvement after 12 weeks.

Can children use it?

Yes, from 2 years. Children under 12 should be treated under adult supervision. It is not recommended under 2.

Can I use it if I have diabetes?

No. Do not use if you have diabetes or poor circulation to your hands or feet.

Does it sting?

You may feel slight tingling or mild tenderness while it works. If gel spreads onto healthy skin it can irritate, so apply carefully.

Can I use it on my face?

No. Do not use on or near the face, neck, armpits, breasts, groin or genitals.

How should I store it?

Below 25°C, cap tightly closed, away from flames. The gel is highly flammable.

Do not store above 25°C. Replace the cap tightly after use.
