Frequently asked questions
When should I start taking it?
Vitabiotics advises 400µg folic acid daily from at least one month before conception; Pregnacare Original can then be taken through all of pregnancy.
Does it contain vitamin A?
It contains no retinol (vitamin A). It uses natural-source beta-carotene instead.
How long does a pack last?
At 1 tablet a day, the 30-tablet pack lasts one month. A 90-tablet pack is also available.
What do the nutrients do?
Folic acid contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, zinc contributes to normal fertility and reproduction, and iron contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Can I take it with other supplements?
It replaces other pregnancy multivitamins, so do not take another multivitamin with it. Ask your pharmacist before combining it with other supplements.
