Frequently asked questions

What does the folic acid in Pregnancy Plus do?

Under the EU/UK Register of Health Claims, folic acid contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy. The NHS advises women to take 400µg of folic acid daily while trying to conceive and up to the 12th week of pregnancy; this product provides 400µg.

What is the difference between the tablet and the capsule?

The daily tablet carries the multivitamin and mineral content, including folic acid, vitamin D, iron, vitamin B12 and vitamin C. The daily capsule provides omega-3 including DHA. Together they make up the full daily dose.

Can I take this while breastfeeding?

This formula is designed for use through pregnancy and breastfeeding. As with any supplement during these stages, confirm with your midwife, GP or pharmacist that it fits with anything else you are taking.

Can I take it with other vitamin supplements?

This is a complete pregnancy multivitamin, so avoid taking other multivitamins, vitamin A supplements or cod liver oil at the same time, as too much vitamin A is not recommended in pregnancy. Check with your midwife, GP or pharmacist if unsure.
