How to book

1. Select the service and complete payment online.
2. Call Ways Pharmacy Holborn on 020 8106 7084 to arrange a convenient appointment.
3. At the appointment, the pharmacist checks your eligibility and medical history (and maternity details if you are pregnant) and confirms suitability.
4. The single dose is administered into the upper arm; please wear short sleeves or loose clothing. A short observation period follows.

Frequently asked questions

How many doses do I need?

Older adults usually need a single dose, which should provide protection for several years. If given in pregnancy, the vaccine is recommended from 28 weeks onwards during each pregnancy to help protect the baby after birth. The pharmacist will confirm what applies to you.

Who can have the RSV vaccine here?

This private service is suitable for adults aged 60 and over, and for pregnant adults aged 18 and over from 28 weeks of pregnancy where clinically appropriate. Final suitability is checked by the pharmacist at the appointment.

Where do I get vaccinated?

What are the common side effects?

Mild side effects can include pain or swelling at the injection site, headache, and aching muscles or body. Severe allergic reactions are very rare. You will be asked to wait a short time after the injection for monitoring.

Is this an NHS service?

No. This is a private vaccination service. If you think you may qualify for a free NHS RSV vaccination, please speak to your GP, maternity service or local NHS provider. NHS eligibility includes pregnancy from 28 weeks and older adults under the current programme.
