What Are Paracetamol 500mg Suppositories?

Paracetamol 500mg Suppositories provide an alternative method of administering paracetamol for pain relief and fever reduction. Each suppository contains 500mg of paracetamol and is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over who may have difficulty taking medication by mouth.

Who Is This Product For?

These suppositories are particularly useful when oral medication cannot be taken, for example during nausea, after surgery, or if the patient is unable to swallow.

How to Use

Always use this product exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose for adults and children aged 12-18 years is 1 or 2 suppositories every 4 to 6 hours, up to a maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours. Leave at least 4 hours between each dose.

Before use, ensure bowels are empty. Wash hands thoroughly before and after application. Lie on your front or side, insert the suppository pointed end first, and remain still for a few minutes.

Important Safety Information

Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have liver or kidney problems, are taking other medicines, or are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive.

Seek medical advice if symptoms worsen or persist. Do not exceed the stated dose. Keep all medicines out of sight and reach of children.

Possible Side Effects
