Panadol Paracetamol Diphenhydramine 500mg/ 25mg NightPain - 20 Tablets (p)

Panadol Night contains paracetamol 500mg and diphenhydramine hydrochloride 25mg per tablet. This 20-tablet pharmacy pack is for short-term bedtime pain that makes sleeping difficult, such as headache, migraine, backache, toothache, period or muscle pain.

How to use

• Adults and children aged 16 and over: take two tablets with water 20 minutes before bedtime. Maximum two tablets in 24 hours.
• Do not use under age 16. Do not take for more than seven consecutive nights without medical advice.
• Do not take if you have used a paracetamol-containing medicine in the last 4 hours, or already had four paracetamol doses that day. Ask the pharmacist to check your total daily paracetamol before combining daytime pain treatment with this product.

Warnings and interactions

• Causes drowsiness: do not drive or operate machinery. Do not drink alcohol. Do not combine with other antihistamines, including skin products, cough and cold remedies, or sedating medicines without professional advice.
• Do not use if allergic to the ingredients, if you have porphyria, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Do not give to an elderly person with confusion.
• Ask a doctor first about liver or kidney disease, low body weight, malnutrition, regular alcohol use, epilepsy, bowel obstruction, urinary difficulty, narrow-angle glaucoma, enlarged prostate, myasthenia gravis or breathing problems.
• Tell the pharmacist about every medicine, especially antidepressants (including MAOIs taken in the last two weeks), sleeping or anxiety medicines, anticoagulants, other painkillers and flucloxacillin.

Overdose and side effects

Seek medical help immediately after too much paracetamol, even if you feel well. Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision and confusion can occur. Stop and get urgent help for severe allergic reactions, breathing difficulty, serious skin reactions, seizures or abnormal heart rhythm. Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep out of children’s sight and reach and do not use after expiry.
