Description

Nytol Original tablets contain diphenhydramine hydrochloride 25mg, an antihistamine used as an aid to the relief of temporary sleep disturbance. Two tablets are taken about 20 minutes before bed. Pack of 20 tablets, for adults and children aged 16 years and over, sold by Ways Pharmacy (UK).

Not suitable for: Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to diphenhydramine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients, if you have a narrowed stomach ulcer (stenosing peptic ulcer), or if you have a blockage where the stomach joins the small intestine (pyloroduodenal obstruction). Do not give them to children under 16 years. Speak to a pharmacist or doctor first if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking any prescription medicines. Diphenhydramine should be used with caution in older people and in anyone with myasthenia gravis, epilepsy or seizure disorders, an enlarged prostate, urinary retention, narrow-angle glaucoma, asthma, bronchitis or COPD, or moderate to severe liver or kidney problems.

Adults and children aged 16 years and over: take two tablets with water about 20 minutes before going to bed.
Do not exceed the stated dose or the frequency of dosing.
Do not take the tablets continuously for longer than 2 weeks without consulting a doctor.
Avoid alcohol while you are taking these tablets.
If your sleep difficulty continues for more than 2 weeks, see your doctor, as it may be a symptom of an underlying condition.
