Frequently asked questions
What does Lemsip Max All in One do that the regular capsules do not?
As well as paracetamol and the decongestant phenylephrine, the All in One capsules contain guaifenesin, which helps loosen and clear mucus. That makes them aimed at colds and flu that come with a chesty cough, not just aches and a blocked nose.
How many All in One capsules can I take a day?
Adults and children aged 16 and over take 2 capsules every 4 to 6 hours, up to a maximum of 8 in 24 hours. Children aged 12 to 15 take 1 capsule every 4 to 6 hours, up to a maximum of 4 in 24 hours.
Can I take Lemsip Max All in One with paracetamol?
No. Each capsule already contains 500mg of paracetamol, so you must not take it with any other paracetamol-containing product. Combining paracetamol products risks a serious overdose.
Is this suitable for a chesty cough?
Yes. The guaifenesin in these capsules is an expectorant that helps loosen mucus on the chest, so they are intended for a chesty (productive) cough alongside other cold and flu symptoms rather than a dry cough.
Can I take it if I have high blood pressure?
Not without checking first. The phenylephrine decongestant can raise blood pressure, so it is not suitable if you have heart disease, high blood pressure or an overactive thyroid unless a pharmacist or doctor has advised you.

- If symptoms persist for more than a few days or get worse, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
