Suitable for:
Gina is for postmenopausal women aged 50 years and older who have not had a period for at least 1 year and who suffer from vaginal symptoms due to oestrogen deficiency.
Active ingredients: Estradiol 10 micrograms (as estradiol hemihydrate). Each vaginal tablet contains 10 micrograms estradiol (as estradiol hemihydrate).
Gina 10 micrograms vaginal tablets treat and relieve vaginal symptoms post menopause.

Gina 10 micrograms vaginal tablets provide a low dose of oestrogen clinically proven to target the cause as well as the symptoms. Gina is a form of hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
Suitable for

FOR VAGINAL USE

You should inform your doctor at your next appointment that you are using Gina.
Hazards and Cautions
Do Not use Gina® if you:
• are allergic to estradiol or any of the other ingredients
• have or ever had womb or ovarian cancer
• have or recently had vaginal or genital bleeding, since
your periods stopped due to the menopause
• have recent or suspected endometrial hyperplasia (or e.g.
if you have been referred for an ultrasound of your
womb and are waiting for the results)
• have previously been treated with oestrogen only HRT
(without Progestogen) and you have not had your womb
removed
• have a current vaginal infection prior to starting
treatment with Gina®
• have any thickening, lump or scarring on your vulva
• have severe vaginal itching, or itchy patches or rash on
your vulva
• have or ever had breast cancer, or have a lump / change in
appearance in your breast, or nipple discharge
• have or ever had a blood clot in a vein
• have or ever had a heart attack, stroke or angina
• have a blood clotting disorder
• have liver disease and your liver function tests have not
returned to normal
• have a rare condition called ‘porphyria’.
Certain conditions may be aggravated during oestrogen treatment, see section 2 of the package leaflet for more information.
You may need to speak to your doctor before using Gina®, ask your pharmacist for advice if you:
• have a history of endometriosis
• have a history of excessive thickening of the womb lining
• are receiving any hormonal therapy, including tablets,
gels or patches
• are switching from another vaginal oestrogen.
Stop using Gina immediately and seek prompt advice from your doctor if you notice any of the following during treatment:
• new vaginal bleeding, spotting or itching
• you have endometriosis and your symptoms come back
• or any of the conditions listed in the ‘do not use’ section.
Get prompt advice from your doctor if you:
• have yellowing of the skin or whites of your eyes
• have large rise in blood pressure (symptoms may be headache, tiredness, dizziness)
• have migraine-like headache for the first time
• become pregnant.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist
seek advice.
This medicine is not suitable if you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant or breastfeeding.
