Who it is for
- Babies and toddlers up to 2 years old who have been prescribed a metered-dose inhaler.
- Parents and carers who need a spacer with a face mask for a young child.
Not suitable for: Not suitable without constant adult supervision, or for older children who have outgrown the infant mask and need a child mask or mouthpiece.
How to use
- Remove the inhaler cap and shake the inhaler.
- Fit the inhaler upright into the back of the spacer.
- Place the mask gently over the child's nose and mouth to make a good seal.
- Press the inhaler once and let the child breathe in and out slowly 5 to 6 times. If the whistle sounds, the breathing is too fast.
- For another puff, wait 5 to 10 breaths and shake the inhaler again before repeating.
- Remove the mask, replace the inhaler cap and wipe the child's face or rinse the mouth if your medicine requires it.
