Who it is for
- Adults over 18 with a mild fungal infection of 1 or 2 finger or toe nails.
- Infections affecting the upper half or the sides of the nail; the nail base should not be involved.
Not suitable for: Do not use if you are allergic to amorolfine or any of the other ingredients; are under 18; are pregnant, might become pregnant or are breastfeeding; have diabetes; have more than 2 infected nails; have poor circulation in your hands or feet; have a weakened immune system; have moderately or severely damaged or infected nails; have pain or swelling around the nail; or have dark stripes running down the nail. If you are not sure whether your infection is mild, ask a pharmacist or doctor.
How to use
- Read the label and Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) before use.
- Before the first application, gently file down the infected part of the nail with one of the files supplied, then clean the nail surface with a cleansing swab.
- Apply the lacquer evenly over the whole surface of the affected nail and let it dry for about 3 minutes.
- Repeat once a week. Before each application, file and clean the nail again and wipe off any old lacquer.
- Keep going until the infection has cleared and healthy nail has grown back: usually 6 months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails.
- Check progress every 3 months; if there is no improvement, speak to a pharmacist or doctor.

How long does Curanail take to work?
Nails grow slowly, so treatment usually takes about 6 months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails. Review every 3 months and carry on until healthy nail has grown back.
Can I wear nail varnish or false nails during treatment?
Do not use artificial nails. If you want to use cosmetic nail varnish, wait at least 10 minutes after applying Curanail; remove all varnish before the next weekly application.
What if I have more than two infected nails?
Curanail is licensed for up to 2 affected nails. If more nails are involved, or the infection looks moderate or severe, see a pharmacist or doctor.
Can I use it if I have diabetes?
No. Curanail is not for people with diabetes, poor circulation or a weakened immune system; a doctor should assess fungal nail infections in these groups.
What side effects can occur?
Rarely, nail damage or discolouration; very rarely, a burning sensation. Allergic reactions with swelling or rash have been reported. Stop and seek advice if this happens.
How do I store it?
Keep the bottle tightly closed, away from heat, and do not store above 30°C. The lacquer is flammable.
