Frequently asked questions

What is this supplement for?

It is a food supplement that combines cranberry concentrate, D-mannose and vitamin C. It is commonly chosen by adults interested in urinary-tract wellness. It is not a medicine and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent urinary infections or any other condition.

What is D-mannose?

D-mannose is a naturally occurring simple sugar found in some fruits. In this product it is included alongside cranberry concentrate as part of the formula. We make no specific health claim for D-mannose, as none is authorised on the EU/UK register.

Does the vitamin C do anything?

Yes. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system under the EU/UK Register of Health Claims. It is included in the formula alongside the cranberry and D-mannose.

I think I have a urinary infection — can I rely on this instead of seeing a doctor?

No. This is a food supplement, not a treatment. If you have burning when you pass urine, a high temperature, pain in your lower back or sides, blood in your urine, or symptoms that last more than 48 hours, contact your GP, NHS 111 or pharmacist promptly, as you may need medical assessment.
