Clearance is where we gather discontinued lines, surplus stock and end-of-line products from across the shop. Ways Pharmacy is a GPhC-registered pharmacy in Holborn, London, and everything listed here is genuine shop stock reduced to clear — small quantities, sold while stocks last, with no restock once a line is gone.

The mix changes constantly. Recent lines include Japanese self-care finds such as Kobayashi nose breathing strips and PD dry rice mask patches, DEONATULLE stone deodorant, Vitabiotics Perfectil Haircrush gummies, Bach Rescue Remedy pastilles and Numark corn removal plasters. The collection also carries selected medicine lines — Benylin cold and flu capsules, Voltarol joint pain relief gel, Strepsils lozenges and Dermol lotion — which go through exactly the same checks as full-priced stock, and any pharmacy-only medicine is supplied after pharmacist consultation as usual. If you are making a trip for a specific item, call 020 8106 7084 first to check it is still available.

Frequently asked questions

Are clearance products still in date and safe to use?

Yes. Clearance at Ways Pharmacy means a line is discontinued, surplus or end-of-line — not that it is compromised. Everything is stored and checked to the same GPhC pharmacy standards as our full-priced stock, and any pharmacy-only medicine is still supplied after pharmacist consultation.

Why do items end up in the clearance section?

Usually one of three reasons: the manufacturer has discontinued or repackaged the line, we are carrying surplus stock, or we are making shelf space for new ranges. Quantities are small and lines are not restocked once sold out.

Can you check whether a clearance item is still in stock?

Yes — call us on 020 8106 7084 and we will check the shelf for you before you travel. Clearance quantities are small, so stock shown online can sell through quickly.

How to use clove oil for toothache
chevron-down
If you have toothache, it’s best to book in at your local dentist to get it checked out - but if you need a temporary fix for that nagging pain, clove oil is a great solution. Clove oil works by numbing the nerve tissue due to its natural anaesthetic properties. Care must be taken when applying, for example, do not pour the clove oil directly onto the affected area; if it reaches your gums or tongue, it could worsen the pain. Use a cotton ball to soak up the clove oil and hold it against the affected area for 20 minutes. If you don’t have clove oil available, you can use powdered clove or try chewing a whole clove with the affected tooth; oil from the clove should be released to soothe the pain.
