What causes dry eyes?
Dry eyes can happen for many different reasons, and it’s a common condition that lots of people experience every day. You can experience dry eyes as a result of wearing contact lenses, or because you’ve been staring at computer screens for too long. Other causes include drinking alcohol, smoking, bring over the age of 50, or even just spending too much time in an air-conditioned or heated room.



How will this product help to soothe dry eyes?
Hycosan Eye Drops contain the active ingredient sodium hyaluronate, which helps to soothe dry eyes. It provides hydration which makes your eyes feel less irritated, eases itching, and helps you to get on with your day.



Can I use this product if I wear contact lenses?
Hycosan eye drops can be used if you wear contact lenses, and are particularly effective when treating dry eyes caused by wearing contacts. Read the patient information leaflet carefully to make sure that your contact lenses are compatible with these eye drops.



How to use this product
Before use, wash your hands thoroughly. Use one hand to pull down the lower eyelid and use the other hand to hold the bottle of drops. Gently squeeze the bottle to deposit one drop into the eye. Blink a few times to disperse the drops over the eyes. Repeat in the other eye if necessary.



When should Hycosan eye drops not be used?
Do not use Hycosan eye drops if you are allergic to sodium hyaluronate or any of the other listed ingredients. If you experience any irritation while using this product, stop use right away. If irritation persists, speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible.



How to store this product
Store in a cool, dry place. Store in the original packaging, do not use if the expiry date printed on the packaging has passed. Once opened, use within 6 months. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
