Vaginal Infection test

Product Description

The Vaginal Infection Test analyzes the pH levels of vaginal swab specimens to help diagnose common vaginal infections, such as bacterial vaginosis (BV). A healthy vaginal environment typically maintains a pH range of 3.8 to 4.5, which is crucial for balancing good and bad bacteria. Deviations from this ideal pH can indicate the presence of BV. Symptoms like burning, itching, or a thick, white discharge may suggest a thrush infection.

Factors such as sexual activity, the use of vaginal hygiene products, antibiotics, and certain underlying medical conditions can increase the risk of vaginal infections. Pregnant women, in particular, are more susceptible, which can pose risks to both maternal and fetal health.

To reduce the likelihood of vaginal infections and alleviate symptoms, consider the following practices:

• Use only water and plain soap for washing the genital area.
• Opt for loose, cotton underwear.
• Avoid vaginal deodorants, washes, or douches.
• Take showers instead of baths.
