Not suitable for: Anyone allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients, or who has had a bad reaction to them before; anyone already taking another medicine containing paracetamol; children under 6 years. Adults who drink large amounts of alcohol, or who are pregnant or breastfeeding, should ask a doctor or pharmacist before use.
How to use
- Read the label and Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) before use. For oral use only.
- Massage the sachet before opening it. Each sachet holds one 5ml dose; use the spoon supplied and do not overfill it.
- Give the dose for your child's age: 6–8 years 5ml; 8–10 years 7.5ml (5ml + 2.5ml); 10–12 years 10ml (two sachets); 12–16 years 10–15ml; adults and children over 16 years 10–20ml.

Frequently asked questions
How many sachets is one dose?
Each sachet is 5ml. A child aged 6–8 years needs one sachet; 10–12 years needs two sachets (10ml); adults and children over 16 take two to four sachets (10–20ml) per dose.
How often can I give it?
Up to 4 times a day, with at least 4 hours between doses. Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period.
Can I use it for a child under 6?
No. It is not recommended for children under 6 years. Ask a pharmacist to recommend a suitable product, such as Calpol Infant.
Can I give it with other cold and flu medicines?
Check the labels first. Do not give anything else that contains paracetamol at the same time. If in doubt, ask a pharmacist.
Is it sugar free?
Yes. It is sweetened with maltitol, sorbitol, acesulfame potassium and saccharin sodium instead of sugar. Sorbitol and maltitol can have a mild laxative effect and make it unsuitable for people with hereditary fructose intolerance.
What should I do if my child has too much?
Talk to a doctor at once, even if they seem well, because too much paracetamol can cause delayed, serious liver damage.
Safety and storage
- Do not give more than the label tells you to, and do not give anything else containing paracetamol at the same time.
- Contains methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause delayed allergic reactions, and small amounts of propylene glycol and benzyl alcohol from the flavouring.
- Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original package and do not use after the expiry date on the pack.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Read the PIL. Report suspected side effects through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.
