Cuprofen Maximum Strength Tablets contain ibuprofen 400mg for the relief of rheumatic, muscular, dental and period pain, backache, neuralgia, migraine and headache, and for the symptoms of colds, flu and feverishness, in adults and children aged 12 and over. Who it is for

Adults and children aged 12 and over who need short-term relief of mild to moderate pain or fever.
People who want a larger pack of 400mg ibuprofen tablets for occasional use.

Not suitable for: Children under 12; anyone allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs; anyone with an active or recurrent stomach ulcer or bleeding, or who has had a stomach bleed or perforation linked to an NSAID; severe heart, kidney or liver failure; the last 3 months of pregnancy (avoid in the first 6 months unless a doctor advises). Speak to a pharmacist or doctor first if you have asthma, heart, kidney or liver problems, high blood pressure, are elderly, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take other NSAIDs, aspirin or blood-thinning medicines.

How to use

Read the label and Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) before use.
Swallow 1 tablet with water, preferably after food.
If needed, take another tablet after at least 4 hours, up to three times a day.
Do not take more than 3 tablets in any 24 hours.
Adults: see a doctor if you need it for more than 10 days or symptoms worsen. Children and adolescents aged 12 to 18: see a doctor if needed for more than 3 days.

How many Cuprofen tablets can I take a day?

One 400mg tablet up to three times a day, at least 4 hours apart. Do not take more than 3 tablets in any 24 hours.

Can children take Cuprofen Maximum Strength?

It is for adults and children aged 12 and over. Do not give it to children under 12.

Should I take it with food?

Yes. The tablets should preferably be taken after food to reduce the chance of stomach upset.

Can I take Cuprofen with paracetamol?

Ibuprofen and paracetamol work in different ways and are often taken together for short periods. Do not take it with other ibuprofen products, aspirin or other NSAIDs. Ask our pharmacist if unsure.

Does it contain lactose?

Yes. The tablets contain lactose. If you have been told you have an intolerance to some sugars, speak to your doctor before taking it.
