Not suitable for: Anyone allergic to paracetamol or to any of the other ingredients; children under 6 years; anyone already taking another medicine that contains paracetamol. It contains maltitol and sorbitol, so it is not suitable if you have a rare hereditary intolerance to fructose. Speak to a pharmacist or doctor first if you have liver or kidney problems, regularly drink alcohol, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How to use
- Read the label and Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) before use. For oral use only.
- Shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before each dose and always use the syringe supplied with the pack.
- Give the dose for the age: 6–8 years 5ml, 8–10 years 7.5ml, 10–12 years 10ml, 12–16 years 10–15ml, adults and 16 years and over 10–20ml.
- Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period, and leave at least 4 hours between doses.
- Do not give for more than 3 days without speaking to a doctor or pharmacist.
- Wash and dry the syringe after use and re-seal the bottle with its original cap.
Frequently asked questions
How much should I give my child?
Dose by age: 5ml for 6–8 years, 7.5ml for 8–10 years and 10ml for 10–12 years, up to four times a day. Children aged 12–16 take 10–15ml and adults 10–20ml, up to four times a day.
Can I give it with other cold and flu medicines?
Do not give anything else containing paracetamol at the same time. Many cold and flu remedies contain paracetamol, so check the label or ask a pharmacist first.
How long can it be used for?
Do not give it for more than 3 days without speaking to a doctor or pharmacist. If the fever or pain continues, seek advice.
Is it suitable for children under 6?
No. This strength is not recommended under 6 years. Ask your pharmacist which paracetamol product is suitable for a younger child.
Does it contain sugar?
No. It is sugar free and colour free. It is sweetened with maltitol and sorbitol instead.
How should I store it?
Do not store above 25°C, keep the bottle in the outer carton and check the cap is closed securely.
