Directions for Use:

• To delay a period: Take 1 tablet three times a day, starting 3 days before your expected period
• Continue for as long as delay is needed, up to a maximum of 17 days
• Your period will usually start 2–3 days after stopping the medication
• Swallow tablets whole with water; take at evenly spaced intervals
• Follow your pharmacist’s or doctor’s instructions carefully

Do NOT use Norethisterone if you:

• Are currently pregnant or think you may be
• Are breastfeeding
• Have a history of blood clots (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism)
• Have liver disease or liver tumours
• Have undiagnosed vaginal bleeding
• Have hormone-sensitive cancers (e.g., breast cancer)
• Consult your pharmacist or doctor before use if you:
• Smoke, especially over the age of 35
• Have migraines with aura
• Are overweight
• Have diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, or heart/kidney problems
• Are taking other medications, especially enzyme inducers like rifampicin, phenytoin, carbamazepine, or St John’s Wort
